In the sixteenth century, botanist Guillermo Hergueta, immersed himself in the remote peaks of Mexico, challenging the unknown.

He quickly noticed and rebelled against the abuses and massacres that the conquistadors were perpetrating among the local tribes and joined them.

With his knowledge, he not only dispelled the shadow of an epidemic among the small Aztec tribe of Tepetl but also forged an honorable pact with them.

As a sign of friendship, the tribal chief named "Tlalocan" revealed to Guillermo a recipe guarded like a treasure, destined to become the throbbing heart of Tequila Uno, Casa Hergueta.

A homage to the vitality of the blue agave where power and delicacy blend together in a spell of sensations.

Our STORY

It's in the piña that the sugar necessary for fermentation is concentrated, which determines the taste and quality of tequila.

Our PROCESS

Distillation

Distillation separates the essential components of agave. This step is crucial to getting the best taste. The distillation is carried out in two stages: the first is carried out in a copper stills, while the second uses distillation columns. Filtration helps soften the final product.
